Sometimes when watching a movie we get totally lost in some scenes..we get the same tingling feeling the movie actress feels in a romantic scene, we can understand how the actor jilted in love must be feeling, we get that adrenaline rush when the heroine is tortured by the big bad villains and suddenly the hero emerges from nowhere and saves her.
Try to watch a horror movie,by keeping it mute on tv, chances are that you wont get much scared as you normally would have if the volume was full and with some background sound..
.Have you ever wondered that not only the dialogues or the acting but even the background score plays a very important role in keeping the viewers engrossed? Normally we just listen to songs and ignore some fantastic background scores in movies.
Certain background scores have commanded attention from the viewers like the most famous Dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge music tune, which kajol keeps on hearing in the movie..or maine pyaar kiya's whistle.. These were the background scores which were extended into songs.. but there are many other movies like Hum aapke hain kaun..with some excellent tunes like the very 'ear-catching' music which is always played when Madhuri and Salman are flirting with each other..or the 'radhe krishna gopal krishna chants' we hear when the dog 'tuffy' tries to stop Madhuri's wedding giving us the last ray of hope of her getting married to her bf rather than her brother-in-law!
Some music directors use the same background tune used in one movie to create a full-fledged song in the next movie, like Raja Hindustani's background score was the instrumental 'tum dil ki dhadkan main' which later went on to become one of the biggest hits in the music world after it was converted into a song for the hit movie Dhadkan. Rajesh Roshan, famous music director is known for resusing background music e.g 'tanhai tanhai tanhai, dono ko pass le aayi' this song from Koyla - a Rakesh Roshan production was the background score of Basu Chatterjee's old movie Khatta Mittha. Then again he used the background score of Hrithik's first blockbuster Kaho na pyaar hai's background score which is being played when Amisha and Hrithik are stuck in an island, in the movie Krish as 'Aao sunao pyaar ki ek kahani'...One can also remember Lakshya's background score played when Hrithik is climbing the mountain..being used to give music to the now famous hindi rock song ' Rock On'
Many a times it happens with me that certain background music just gets stuck in my ears.. and I must tell you it feels really nice and soothing to hear them...Here is the list of some background scores of Hindi and few English movies. Have given their urls too if you wish to hear them as well.
